I really stink at keeping this thing updated. So here’s a big pile of what we’ve been doing the past several weeks.

Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know that a newer version of the Subscribe2 Widget Hack is up and available. I have changed it to be completely user-friendly. You no longer have to edit the file at all–it will pull the permalink from the Subscribe2 ‘S2PAGE’ constant defined in the Subscribe2 Plugin. So, to use:
That’s it.
By the way, this hack was meant to be a simple solution to those having problems with the original Subscribe2 widget. I had/have no real intentions to develop it further than increasing the compatibility of the excellent Subscribe2 plugin. That being said, if you have any feature suggestions or usability comments, please leave a comment here and I’ll see what I can do.
Hello friends and family,
With an update long overdue, we finally have some news to share. First, let’s talk about Fat Club. It’s unfortunate that the backup I had to restore was missing that fantastic picture of me prior to the weight-loss race. I’ll find it somewhere and do a comparison picture, but after 3 months the results are in…I went from 227 lbs to 184 lbs, a 43 pound loss that gained me first place out of 8 (well, 7 really. That slacker Keith didn’t even try…and still owes money too!). I barely eked out my buddy Lief in a come-from-behind win, but everybody else in the competition did great as well…the results are here. What to do with my winnings? Buy new clothes… Continue reading So Much to Say
Well, in an act of extreme idiocy…I accidentally deleted my whole litschers.com account yesterday. So, I had to restore a backup…from January 19th. So anything that has been posted from January 19th-April 6th is gone (including that flattering picture of me). I’ll try to get some of the pictures up soon, but I can’t promise anything…
Edit: Just a note to tell you there is a more recent version of the widget hack…please do not use the file on this page unless you have a problem with the newer version
After finding Matt Robinson’s Subscribe2 Plugin incredibly useful, I ran into the same problem that several other users had when using the Subscribe2 Widget. I set about hacking the widget plugin to make it work, and have appeared to be successful. You do have to edit something in the file, but here’s the directions:
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here.

So, I’m in the process of redesigning our website again, so you are looking at the new and improved Litschers.com. I’m also in the process of moving all of the pictures over as well…it may take a while, so for now, please click here to access the old pictures from this album.? Also let me know if you see any ‘broken’ links, or get errors when trying to look at stuff. Thanks!
Well, I haven’t had time to get any new pictures up yet, but Jonathan has been a little chatterbox lately, so we decided to take some video of him doing his tricks. There is a higher-quality version here (18 Megs) and for those of you still on dial-up, here’s the low-quality version. Hope you are all doing well!
Hello my faithful readers (all two of ya). So yes, it’s been 3 months since I wrote last. No excuse, though after our annual Midwest Summer Tour we got back to Denver and school and life started. So we’ve been busy. I promise I will get some more pictures up soon and update you with what’s going on. The short news: Continue reading Long Time Gone….
I’ve been meaning to write more regularly for some time now, but haven’t been able to find it. However, some sad news is the occasion for this update. Though most of you were unaware, last Thursday Renee had her 10 week prenatal doctor’s appointment, but the doctor was unable to hear a heartbeat with the Doppler microphone. After an ultrasound, our worst fears were confirmed…we had lost our baby. Continue reading Sad News
Last Sunday through Tuesday I took a buddy of mine backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park in the Wild Basin area. We only hiked in a bout a mile and a half to our campsite and did some day hiking from there. It had been rainy in Colorado for about 5 days prior to our trip, and Sunday was no different…not a brutal thunderstorm but a slow, deliberate, steady stream of drizzel that would occasionally stop to get our hopes up, and continue on again.
